Spite – Into the Deathless Lands
Play as a fearless warrior carrying your spear and the wind as your weapon to drive away the corruption that has taken over the land.
On this project I was involved in a lot of bits and pieces. The main focus was rigging and animating the big bad boss we had in the final level of the game. It is an intense boss battle where the boss shows you no mercy. He has three waves with slams in the first, summoning enemies and shooting a sweeping laser from his third eye in the second, and then combining it all in the final wave.
I also did a few of the player’s animations and two environmental rigs with animations; a flag string and a bell shrine.
The big challenge with animating the boss was to simulate the mass in a good way. I would estimate that the boss is ten times bigger than the player and therefore he should move slower but still be effective enough to hit you.
You can probably tell that I had a lot of fun shooting references for this project!
