Who am I?
Hello! I’m David, a positive, fast learning jokester who sees any new experience as a chance to get some new knowledge.
Playing games is something I have always enjoyed ever since trying Super Mario Bros on my sister’s NES console. I didn’t know that the road to actually working with games was so accessible and when a friend recommended TGA I didn’t hesitate.
What I love about games is that your connection to them can be the most personal thing and no matter what your relationship with them looks like, its a big part of you and that’s great! Me? I am a sucker for story driven games with intriguing puzzles and fascinating characters!
Animating is fairly new to me but I have really found my calling with game animation and its a decision I’m happy with every day. I was previously working with UX-design and communication so I take that with me into the working life as an animator.
I am a creative and passionate game animator with a strong eye for detail and a love for fun and engaging animation styles. Take a look at my portfolio to see some of my recent projects.
What are my skill sets?
It is hard to not call yourself a generalist when all aspects of animation give you some type of joy. My main focuses however are keyframed animation for gameplay and cinematics. Exaggerated and stylized animation style is something I always seem to create when I have free hands to do what I want.
During my animation studies I have been most drawn to creatures and creature like characters, especially when I have taken them from idea to implementation in Unreal Engine.
When am I available for work?
I am part of The Game Assembly’s internship program. As per the agreement between the Games Industry and The Game Assembly, neither student nor company may be in contact with one another regarding internships before April 23rd 2024.
Any internship offers can be made on May 6th, at the earliest
